What does the second opinion actually cost?
The on-site diagnostic and the written second-opinion report are free when you bring an eligible third-party quote (a repair over $1,500 or a full system replacement) from a licensed FL contractor. There is no obligation to proceed with HVAC Experts after the visit. A standard $49 diagnostic applies to service calls outside the second-opinion offer. If you choose to have us do the work, we apply our standard pricing with the price-match guarantee on functionally equivalent scope to the original quote.What does "price-match guarantee" mean specifically?
If we agree with the other contractor's diagnosis and they quoted you a fair price for the work, we will match it on functionally equivalent scope. Functionally equivalent means same parts, same labor, same warranty terms. We do not match quotes that omit permits, use lower-tier equipment, or skip required code work.Do I have to bring the original quote?
Yes. Bring the itemized quote with parts, labor, and totals. Without that we can give you a fresh diagnostic but cannot do a true comparison. A photo or a forwarded email is fine.What if you tell me the original quote is wrong?
We tell you in writing. We explain what we'd do differently and why. We do not call the other contractor or get involved in their relationship with you. The written report is yours to use however you want.
